Income Tax Preparation Assistance Program
Lower-income residents from the Towns of Black Diamond and Turner Valley who are unable to complete their basic income tax returns and are unable to pay for assistance, can apply to have volunteer tax preparers process their tax returns. The eligible income cut-off is $30,000 for singles and $45,000 for a married couple. Some restrictions apply. If approved, applications will be given to the Tax Preparers for processing. For more information, please call the Town of Black Diamond Office at (403) 933-4348 or the Town of Turner Valley Office at (403) 403-933-4944. Two application forms are required; one for the CRA and the other for the volunteer. Please complete only sections A, B, and D of form T1S60 and omit the grey box at the bottom of the Volunteer Tax Application Form.
New Horizons Grant
Congratulations to the Sheep River Library which is the recipient of a New Horizons Grant for a new program at the Sheep River Library called “Sheep River Ramblers.” This is a program for seniors in our communities which provides a walking program geared toward seniors, isolated seniors and those that wish to improve their well being.

This is a Friends of the Library fund raiser. Please call the library, 403-933-3278, to register (numbers needed to plan for snacks and refreshments) And please forward this email invitation to anyone interested. The more the merrier. All levels of dancers welcome, from klutzes to pros.
Event is being organized by library staff person Doris Daley. Dance instruction and music provided by her extremely talented niece and nephew.
