Local Subsidized Housing Options

The Town of Turner Valley, along with Black Diamond, High River and Okotoks all offer some form of subsidized housing through the Foothills Foundation.  The municipalities (along with Longview and MD of Foothills)  support the program through requisition payments (paid via taxes),  directly to the Foundation.

Locally, we have four seniors’ apartment units and seven residential (family) units.  Black Diamond offers seniors apartments through the Glen Mead and High Country Lodge organizations.

Inquiries can be directed to:

Congratulations to the Sheep River Library which is the recipient of a New Horizons Grant for a new program at the Sheep River Library called “Sheep River Ramblers.” This is a program for seniors in our communities which provides a walking program geared toward seniors, isolated seniors and those that wish to improve their well being.
